Annotation:
This authorized graphic novel biography covers the entire life of Anne Frank. Her family was one of thousands who faced torture and persecution during World War II. This graphic novel showcases how normal the victims of WWII were.

Personal Reaction:
This book did not closely follow the diary version that I am familiar with.  The graphic novel started prior to Anne Frank's birth, and covered her family's difficult life prior to being put into concentration camps.  This graphic novel is a good way of learning about everything that went on during that time period.  Reading this graphic novel is much more enjoyable than reading a textbook.

Published 2010/2011

Curricular Connection:  to be read in conjunction with The Diary of Anne Frank

Graphic Novel non fiction
