Annotation:
A high school girl who finds it difficult to fit in with her classmates becomes infatuated with her female art teacher.  When things become complicated, the teacher relocates and the student learns to fit in with society.

Personal Reaction:
This book is classic high school drama with a twist.  It was an unsuspected story.  The story does cover many feelings that teenagers encounter, and does feature a good ending that will help teenagers gain the confidence that they need in order to find their place in the world.  This is a good book for any teen who is having difficulty fitting in and feels awkward in their own skin.
